Krishna And Radha

Though Lord Krishna is considered a God By millions of Hindus and worshipped day in and day out, his love with princess Radha is a part of the folk lore and people draw inspiration from Krishna and Radha love story. In the epic Mahabharata, there is hardly any mention of Krishna Radha or Radha Krishna and the story of Krishna and Radha goes back to earlier times when Krishna was young and had not got married. Krishna and Radha have been the source of inspiration for many platonic lovers their love is thought to be pure and sublime. In India, people believe in Krishna Radha or Radha Krishna so much that they keep the names of their off springs on the names of Krishna and Radha. Wherever you go, you will find so many Radha's and so many Radhe Krishna, you would think you are in a time when Krishna and Radha were alive. India is a religious country and people pay attention to rituals.

Spiritual love of Krishna Radha is rarest of rare and you will find very few instances of such kind of platonic love as Radhe Krishna. Radha Krishna were deeply in love with each other but their love had nothing physical in it and it was purely on the mental level or you can say they loved each other spiritually. This aspect of their love has attracted many a foreigner's attention and they have come to India to know more about it. In Hindi literature classes at the higher level, the love of Radhe Krishna and its deeper meaning is being taught and learnt by the students. Many foreigners are students of such classes.
